If you’re motorcycle is ever stolen or damaged in an accident then comprehensive insurance coverage will
cover the cost to replace or repair you bike. This is regardless of who is at fault. Some policies will allow you
to select a deductible for each coverage. You pay the deductible and the insurance company will pay the rest.

theft, vandalism, or fire.
Within Collision coverage, the insurance company will cover the costs for damages to your bike when you run into
another object or vehicle.
Liability Insurance for Property Damage and Bodily Injury
This type of insurance will cover your legal liability for an accident where there is damage to another party’s
property, or injury to the other party. The amount insured is up to the limit of liability you have chosen.
Example of coverage may include 10/15/30:
- $10,000 would be paid for any property damage per accident
- $15,000 would be paid for any bodily injury per person

The Underinsured and Uninsured Motorist
If an accident is the result of another individual who does not have insurance, then Uninsured Motorist Bodily
injury will cover the costs that the at-fault party is liable for. This includes any lost wages or medical
treatments.
Underinsured Motorists Bodily Injury coverage can be used if you should incur expenses that are greater than
the at-fault party’s liability limits. Depending on the Underinsured Motorists limits that you set, the gap between
the other person’s liability limits and the amount of the injury expense will be covered.

If you should be involved in a motorcycle accident and in need of medical care, then medical payments
coverage will pay the costs of any medical treatments that you may incur. This is regardless of who is at fault.
The coverage is usually limited to a certain dollar amount and is also limited to medical care that is received
within the first three years after an accident. There are various states where medical payments coverage can be
used only after other medical insurance options have been exhausted.
